In addition to the uncompromising construction of quality uprights and grand pianos, it was and is a great concern of Schimmel to enable as many piano players as possible to purchase a genuine quality instrument. As a reminiscence to the motto of the company founder Wilhelm Schimmel "affordable quality", the series "Schimmel Europe" was created, Made by Schimmel.
As with the smaller Classic pianos, the pianos in the Europe series are based on decades of proven designs, offering a rich and full sound with a responsive and controllable action. To preserve the authentic Schimmel sound from Braunschweig | Germany, in this series as well, the entire strungback including the soundboard of the Europe instruments are entirely manufactured in our Braunschweig factory. At our production facility in Kalisz, Poland, we have found an ideal location for this quality series, allowing us to complete a genuine European instrument from these strungbacks at a lower cost. Kalisz, traditionally the capital of piano making in Poland and home to the national piano technician school, leaves nothing to be desired in terms of craftsmanship. Lower labor costs than in Germany and the cost-conscious selection of high-quality materials enable us to offer the Schimmel Europe series pianos at attractive prices, even compared to Asian competitors.
